DESCRIPTION:Our industry is constantly confronted with land development challenges regarding our aquatic resources   state waters\, waters of the U.S. and wetlands. Join us for a three-hour seminar covering the definitions of these features\, how to spot them at your property and more importantly how to maintain compliance in this arena. General permitting for work in these critical areas will also be covered. Attendees will leave feeling more confident on how to approach land with these assets that present challenges.\n\n\n\nThe seminar is taught by Kim Metcalf\, an environmental scientist BS and MS degree in Environmental Health Science from the University of Georgia. She has\n\nhad a variety of experiences in her professional career\, including working for Georgia Power Company\, The Southern Company and Southwire Company. In\n\n2001\, she founded Riverbend Environmental Inc. as a result of regulatory changes impacting the construction industry.  Mrs. Metcalf holds many environmental\n\ncertifications including Certified Environmental Auditor\, Registered Environmental Manager\, Level 1B Certified Erosion and Sedimentation Inspector\,\n\nLevel II Certified Erosion and Sedimentation Plan Designer\, Level I &\; Level II Erosion Trainer with the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission. She also is a Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Control (CPESC).
